The Boy with Starlight Eyes
I once met a boy with starlight eyes,
Shining brighter than the rest of his disguise,
The mask of protection stands no chance,
His journey was told through his eyes,
A lifetime shared and secrets spilt,
In one simple glance,
They contained galaxies,
Filled with him and me,
In them there was something alive,
Something hidden but not dead,
The struggles and the memories,
Buried inside his head,
They’d seep out,
They’d slip through,
A piece of his struggle,
He’d unknowingly share with you,
So I respected all the stars they held,
All of the mystery’s glory,
His words say one thing,
But the galaxies in his eyes tell a whole other story.
