In moments such as ones like this
When words come but do not become,
When eyes could no such beauty miss
Nor angels ever seek to sum,
I would but wish one day with you
To fill with all long lasting joys,
And love would stay forever new
So hell could no such love destroy.
Yet when I look upon your face
I know I am but doomed to long.
For only one may share your embrace,
And why would you linger to hear my song?
