A World Away
As I look up at the dark sea-sky
The Plaza lights my only stars,
I think about the country house
Where you and I shared our dream.
But now you're a world away.
For years you watched me grow alone
I learned to become your voice,
Our minds so alike in child-play
With a book to express our dream.
But now your're a world away
I dream alone, feel alone, am alone
... I just want to be with you.
I once tried to reach your hand
How foolish I was to reach so soon,
Brother pulled me back and forgave my attempt
... Even though I sometimes wish I had succeeded.
Because you're a world away.
I promise I'll stand under the sea-sky until Brother says I can go.
I'll run to you, run like the wolves we are at heart.
We'll howl are love and freedom
In our world apart.
