Broken, broken, broken key
Poor out-strung letter e
Left to handwrite
Sloppy mess
Erased and rewritten
Second-guessed
Time, time, time machine
Bright, bright lights flashing green
Second chances and a broken promise
No hope found or left to harness
Twisted, twisted, twisted fate
Stomach doing figure eights
Broken, broken, broken hearts
Sometimes pain is mistaken for art
Losing, losing, losing my mind
So much hurt in eyes so kind
Brows creased in increasing concern
The urge to put out the fires that burn
Broken, broken, broken me
Stuck in the same old melody

The author's comments:
This poem was written towards the start of my deep depression. It's one of my favorites of the poetry I wrote during that period. Pain feeds art.

It's hauntingly beautiful. I love the repeated lines (broken, broken, broken) they're so gorgeous and sad.
