I Find the Moments Before a Storm Invigorating

I find the moments before a storm invigorating
the cool wind tumbles through my hair and around my body
I can hear thunder clap faintly in the distance as the clouds darken and converge
Soon I can smell the rain on the wind as it’s strength intensifies
my hair whips around as the wind overpowers it’s weight
I can feel the thunder in my chest as it sounds in the sky above
I simply smile and tilt my face skyward
my eyes shut tight as I feel the first drop of thousands land on my nose
