Hallucinations
I sat in the swallowing darkness of night,
Seeing what wasn’t there,
My senses were lying,
This couldn’t be real,
Every ounce of me trembled in fear,
Starving and dying,
Lost all alone,
Not to move, chained to a wall,
I left to create a better world than this,
Yes, not like this at all,
Gone, not in the world I was,
In a reality far far away,
A miracle, a beautiful scene,
One where i’m not insane,
What reality is, I shall never know,
But why bother anyway,
It is only a word we use everyday,
A conspiracy in which we feel safe.
