Dancing with Oblivion
Like a leaf struggling to be found in the mass of many,
I’m waiting for you to find me,
Romancing the idea…
I throw myself off a cliff
Cries of forwaning scream through the air,
I am tugged and pulled by the wind,
My colors will add life to the withered ground,
diving towards a watery abyss,
the frigid depths will bring me to the beginning
of the end,
every inch i’d fall would bring me…closer,
the wind would whip my face,
stinging like an open wound,
the cold...like a glimpse of winter,
the vibrant fall,
would make up for the blinding white to come.
A painful promise,
a flutter of excitement,
adrenaline,
utter terror,
...serena?
My sepulchre the sea,
just the way i’d always wanted it to be,
fear of the end and what's to come,
anticipation,
finally uncovering the bittersweet of the unknown,
a step forward…
threatening to fall,
wreak havoc on my fair skin.
As I lean forward,
strong arms grasp me and pull me back into a solid embrace,
whispering to me a chance for a new beginning,
...you’ve found me!
