Bam crack, the ball’s pitched to the runner!
On their feet fans bombard the bleachers
72 made the block, as tailback rushed past.
Corner breaks off the receiver,
Sweeps the runner from feet on the 20
Line it up again O!
Coach is furious…Come on, run in again boys.
From back pedal he flips hips to follow receiver.
On route to end zone receiver leaps
Defender beside him.
Both latch to pigskin, who has it, who does!
With a jerk, the man controlling the ball is the defender.
His team won, 24 to 21
