Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earth-bound misfit, I"

In atmospheric indigo ponds, a crescent moon floats
Bobbing above soft, feathered tree silhouettes
While the rest of the world is dotted with stars,
White tempera paint on a dark surface

How I’d love to feel moon’s cool stone
Or grasp the dust pan
That collects the shimmering gold dust
God's stars shed
I'd relish it
Until gasps of ombre dawn emerge
And the last strips of indigo imprint on my soul

The author's comments:
I saw this amazing night sky while letting my dog outside and I just had to describe it.
Psalms 148:3-6

That's wonderful that you're so dedicated! I could never spend that long on a single poem, you should be very proud :D

Thank you for commenting! It is so kind of you. I worked really hard on this poem ( a couple of months and a TON of hours) and it means a lot to me that you liked it. :)
