A weight bears down upon my shoulders
Seeping through my skin
It manifests inside myself
And burns me deep within

I hold these feelings in the dark
No light will they ever see
To speak them aloud would be my sin
And so they will die with me

This burden causes much distress
And to some, clearly so
I mask it with the best charade I can
But it's starting to crack, you know...

Being home schooled, I often go through a lot of pressure to suddenly do a bunch of work at once. I wrote this during a break after cranking out 70 pages worth of work in three hours.
