I Wish I Was a Bird
I wish I was born a bird,
with wings as wide as the world,
to escape the troubles I face,
to bring me to a new place.
I wish I had a thousand stars,
to gaze upon at night,
with the one who held my heart,
but i don’t know where he is.
He’s caught up in a cloud,
of dust and confusion,
he doesn’t see clearly,
and expels repulsion.
I wish I was born a bird,
to leave this place I hate so much,
to escape my biggest enemy:
myself.
