His First
There was once a time when all was good
Life itself revolved around my inner happiness, for that was all that mattered
There were no worries or pain
Her love was my king
The first sunrise never seemed so astounding
So I was blinded and amazed at its beauty
My soul was considered Hers to keep
My trust was in Her hands, never to be tampered with, as it was told
But the storm came so sudden
Allowing the light to shine bright one last time
And I finally saw it, the truth that lay ahead of me
That there really was something dark that stood behind all of the gold
You just have to dig deep enough within love to find it
Only then will you know your place
