Find a Light
In my years of being discouraged, disgraced, and not accepted by our cruel world, If there is one thing that I have learned is that hate is not the opposite of love.
Indifference is.
When people are indifferent to you,
You're not on their mind
You're not in their heart
You are just there to fill in empty space when needed.
But, ignorance is bliss so you go on as if there is nothing wrong s it slowly consumes you from the inside out, replacing your sanity with voices repeating
Worthless, Not good enough, Never good enough, nothing.
We look at other's kindness towards us and see it as fake because who would ever love or care about somebody who hates themselves?
But there's a light
Somewhere deep inside you, no matter how small it may be, there is something that tells you to just hold on a bit longer, everything will get better one day despite everything falling apart around you.
Pinches of hope that live in the light that give you the tiniest amount of strength that you need to just take another step, and even though you end up disappointed by the end of the day, here will always be another one with endless possibilities.
Don't let go of the light!
Having hope does not always promise a better tomorrow or that things will start getting better automatically.
It doesn't make things any easier.
But it is something to hold on to.
What would even be the point of living without a reason?
The people who cry every day because they are completely alone and feel so lost in the world must have some kind of hope or they would jus end it there, wouldn't they?
People who don't standout or are always picked last in gym are just plain invisible to the society a dropkicks us in the face with gossip and drama.
We are better than that.
We are the misfits
the wallflowers
the lonely
the depressed
the fighters
the enlightened
the world changers
and the best
The best kind of people who have known what it is like t balance on the tightrope between light and the dark and have walked towards the light.
The best who help others in their time of need because they truly know how it fee to be all alone.
Those people are the best because they lived, not for themselves, but for their light, their hope.
And along the way of their journey of life, they found more and more light until they have traded a mind full of paranoia and doubt to one of confidence and sanity, and maybe it is just the first step of finding what their light is to be put on the right direction for success.
And maybe that's what people should look for
