Time runs out
The sand falls like the ashes
Of the addiction that kills you.
Lungs turned black
But the heart is already shattered.
Trying to pick up the glass,
But the shards slice your hands.
Will someone please
Help with these bandages?
Time runs out
A second, a grain at a time.
No way to stop it,
We do what we can.
We try to postpone the showing
Time runs out
Grain by grain
We get closer.
But what we don't know,
Is how much sand
We have left.
