Down, down...

insomnia plunges my constellation
ethereal reflections lost
after surviving ages upon pedestals
no longer an ornament
my thoughts transcend known realms
ghosts hush mistakes, haze futures,
but the lucifer hummingbirds grow impatient
shielding my feather crown
I run, run...
at last guilt disperses inside raindrops
lantern sky usurps my revival
freedom means rebel, duel, revere Nature,
walk human paths and collide
with prejudice, luck, virtue, with love
comprehend beauty's duplicity
fear not relapses of union
forever ride storms churning beneath
I see, see....
lightning crackles nightmares
gravity rules all bonds
promises tumble on velvet speech
moments may unlock hope but
abundant despair trips sense at dusk
yet dawn yearns so terribly to
dodge every whiplash malice throws,
raw vanity nurtures, sometimes
I rue, rue...
meld vermillion, ash, pearl into spires
impress your false integrity
bone purges camellia gardens
each winter, fear marvels at iridium gates
baking in dunes pleasant
but for that one crude crow
importune all you wish it snickers
talons purloin my cracked compass
