Due to you,
I grew up in silence.
Your broken-glass hands,
Once holding me close,
Now just slit my skin apart.
I had been calmed by you.
I had been loved,
But now you have gone
Quiet.
I grew up in silence,
Due to you,
But now it is you
Who never speaks.
I reach for you,
But you don't reach back.
You shattered
When I caressed your cheek.
Did I make you silent,
When I began to speak?
