"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." - Ernest Hemingway

Count to thirty in your head.
We are kids again.
Run as fast as your legs will let you.
Hidden in the bushes, you wait.

We are kids again.
I seek, you hide. It's an everlasting ride.
Hidden in the bushes, you wait.
Lungs burning, as if in a marathon. My favorite part.

I seek, you hide. It's an everlasting ride.
My hands scratched and torn, but I've found you.
Lungs burning, as if in a marathon. My favorite part.
And the game has just begun.

I wrote this because my creative writing teacher was always stressing to us about how you should write about what you know and I think childhood is a memory everyone remembers.
