a sinking stone
Dumbfounded
I stare with that stupid
Look on my face
So I guess it's time for a drink
Bottles all around
Which one will send me to the ground
Happy or depressed
It's all the same spinning around me
Like a whirlwind of pity
And gut rot
Laying in forget me nots
Hoping their smell will cover
Or even smother
My wasting body
A reapers heart
Far from a keeper
I need another beer
Settle these unwanted fears
At least they want me
The sidewalk will take me home tonight
So set me on fire
Watch me just burn
Pens and paper
Listen and just learn
Lies and prayer
Drifting into my coma
Still not fast enough
Take a couple pills
Now I'm rushing
Walking into the park
Naturally it's dark
It's winter
So the ice glazes the pond
It doesn't take long
I walk across it
Trying to find a s***
To give
But I slip
Trip
Fly face first into the surface
Smash through
Sinking like a liquored up stone
