High School Troubles ft. Boys
I ran to the top of this mountain to somehow make my body feel a physical pain that equates to the the emotional mountain you've forced me to climb. I turned my music up all the way to drown out my own thoughts of worry, but all I got after taking them out was a soft buzzing in my ears. It reminds me of the hums of endearment, “I love you”, you used to say. No, wait, that buzzing is just the gnats swarming around my trembling body. Much like you used to engulf me with hugs whenever I was shaking with sorrow. Ew, I am pitiful, I decide to spit and reflect my self-disgust. The sound of my spit only echoes off the canyon and it sounds like a gunshot. Pop! Just like the shot you fired at my heart. My feet ache too, a shooting pain, I am walking on eggshells. At least I reached the physical pain I was looking for.
You know, I thought we would last forever.
Well, at least until the end of high school.
