Not Once but Twice
I tried to stay strong but the ignorance kept knocking me.
I tried to be happy but your words they kept stomping me, crushing me, making me pound my head against the wall. Not sure if things could get fixed all I wanted to do was fall.
I know a girl can seem so strong take a thousand words and just crumble them up into a ball.
To toss away into the open space, but for that girl who has been hurt more than once.... for that girl who knows how it feels to be knocked down.
That ball ricochets back at her letting her know that you are willing to tape up that paper for her so she can't be happy. So she can't have hope. So she can realize that not everyone is willing to cope.
