The Heart
Some roses are not red
Violets are not blue
So I'll stay in bed
And think of something else for you
As the dawn breaks
Light pours over the land
The heart still aches
For the warmth of your hands
The inevitable cold
Keeps a lock on our hearts
Since the times of old
Few try to take it apart
For this lock has a key
That is expertly hidden
It can not be seen
Nor can it be written
How it feels
When the lock is open
The elation
The fear
The happiness
The love
Only small descriptions
Of the hearts encryption
But now the roses are wilted
The violets are too
It comes unexpected
So what are we to do?
We wait,
On bated breath
For the one that will state
We will not part even in death
