Words
Im trying to find words
That will make it sound beautiful
But I cant think of anything
That makes your cold fingers
Tugging the end of my shirt
Over my head sound beautiful.
I cant find good words to describe
How our lips felt pressed together
Or how it felt to have your hands wander
Around my body in ways I had
Always wanted them to.
I cant find words to describe
The feeling of bare skin against bare skin.
Your skin. My skin.
How the air should have stung
Against my back but instead warmth enveloped me.
As much as I want to find beautiful words
I cant figure out which ones to use
But I remember all of it.
the way your lips were soft on my own
And your tongue tasted of tequila and mint
The way I lay there staring into the night sky
That was full of burning lights
And the way the waves pulsed against the shore
And how your lips touched mine
And then I think about how your lips touched hers
And your hands wandered her body
And how you haven’t looked me in the eyes since then
And you avoid my presence when I walk past
