Frozen in her Pain
the little angel weeps
each rolling tear
unable to fall
Trapped inside her marble shell

Winged outstretched
hoping for a gust
that would sweep her away
and carry her back
to the place of light
and the place of clouds
Where she can be rid
of her marble hell

The author's comments:
In my creative writing class, my teacer showed us pictured that represented the gothic movement. On the of the pictures was of a angel statue, and it was crying. It made me think that maybe the angel was mourning her own situation of being stuck on earth, in that place and time.
