Lions in their dens
Mamas with their cubs
You paint this pretty picture
About the clouds above
You tell this happy story
But your words and paint are lies
I held you when cried
Brought your jury in on important verdicts
I actually opened up
Just in time
To slam your knife into my spine
The other end of your paintbrush,
Now doused in crimson cells,
Your incomprehensible “gifts”
Made my pain your paint
