It’s winter time darling, the season is near
For laughing and singing and holiday cheer
For long sleeves and sweaters that cover the arms
Of broken young souls, that are covered with scars
Christmas is here, New Years to come
What would they say, if I went for a run?
If I went for a run, and the cars whizzing by
Came far too close, just to say hi?
Would they scream out in horror, or just let it pass
I am sure that they, would get over it fast
Or would it be better?
If they looked at me once and saw past my red sweater?
