As Stacey walks into High School, a precarious place,
where everyone wears a despondent face.
The students ricocheting off the wall,
the teachers ambivalent, they’ve seen it all.
The geeks, the jocks, surfers, rebels, and blondes,
all have their secluded, secular ponds.

To her left is a put-together, well-mannered girl,
Who’s style’s impeccable and hair’s in a curl.
A brilliant white smile and beige-tinted face,
gives a feeling of awe witnessing her grace.
Her fragile physique, and manicured hands,
shows off her standards, and elaborate demands.
A spritz of perfume, using a dollop of gloss,
She spins around, giving her hair a toss.
“I just love to study” she snorts in a craze,
“I could solve equations for 500 days!
Algebra is easy, along with Geometry too,
Biology, Astronomy, I could tutor you!”

To her right is a decorated, off-setting, guy,
when given the death stare, it’s hard not to cry.
Wearing leather, and studs, his appearance is mean,
with spiked hair, and black jeans, he’s an edgy teen.
Chains from his pockets, face white as snow,
hard-rock music, putting on a show.
“The waves are tubular, I can’t wait to ride.
Of course with a sick surf tattoo on my side.
Got my longboard, wetsuit, and wax all ready,
hoping the surf will be thrilling and steady.
The beach is just seriously wicked bro,
come with, it’ll totally be awesome, yo!”

In the center is a more timid and young-looking crew,
with an outspoken leader in a bright, royal blue.
His glasses have tape to hold them together,
his hair seems to frizz in almost any weather.
Pants past his stomach, belt nice and tight,
appearance as though he does everything right.
“ I have three detentions in one week alone;
I’ve been so bad I’m kicked out of my home.
Defacing school property, cheating on tests,
of all the bad kids, you could say I’m the best.
Come and cut class, if you don’t, you’re too chicken,
Hurry and decide now, time is a tickin’!”
