They Don't Love Us
You may think that these people really love us,
The people that we call our Mom and Dad.
It might make us feel good when they hug us,
But really they don't care if we are sad.
The things they call "favors" are really chores.
They call them favors so they don't sound bad.
They just sit while we sweep the floor,
And when we cry they say "It's not that bad!"
Parents treat us like animals.
Most people feel safe with parents.
They eat away at us like cannibals.
Their hearts are like deserts that are barren.
