Sticks and Stones Do Hurt
I’m gonna shout
Until all our blood stained language
Has dried out
Wounding words contribute
To disintegrate a human to dust
The flameful cruelty
Cripple our once oh so
Optimistic liberation
Spiteful altercation knowingly
Creates a shiversome sensation
That sends daggers into your soul
Words play a role in deception
And lies blended with betrayals conceal truths
But yet the trend persists
And we remain victim
To a concept that’s controllable
Never failing to sting a face
With buzzing tears as a result
Of correspondence blanketed with hostility
So just practice commendable communication
Burn out the resentment
And rid the world of poisonous discussion
