In the noir of the day
The silly girl would float away
Above the trains
Above the planes
At least, that would be so
If her silly anchor would just let go
“I love you.”
“I love you too, now stay away from the washed-out blue.”
“My people need me, I must fly-“
“Your folks don’t need you as much as I.”
