The Edge
She dreamt
They were beautiful
Big and the loveliest shade of blue
Stronger than anyone knew
Taking a step off the edge
She flew
Far as her wings could take her
Lifting herself high above the pain
Truly believing she'd be okay
With a shock
She wakes
Makes her way
To the edge
She sees in her dreams
Looking at the world below
Catching her breath
As she steps off the edge
Thinking as the air rushes past
This is not a dream
This time
I have no wings
