Watching
The fall air
Chaps my smooth,
Tender lips
As I walk down the street alone
Leaves covering the ground
As they crinkle and curl
And make loud screeching
Sounds
Like someone is following
Me
I look back but nothing is there
Just the wind
Maybe it is all just in my mind,
Maybe I don’t feel safe
Until I
Reach my front step
Curl up in my bed
And try to block
Out
The games that my
Mind is playing
