Simple statement, simple answer
Simple rip, simple tear
But to add and add and add
It will never end, beware

A forest fire forever burning
A candle covered, smothered, dead
Hate shines bright, forever, always
Soft light of love, never fed

Imposing fortress, walls ever reaching
But wait friend, look beyond the facade
Broken heart forever weeping
Crushed soul healed by only God

A lump of clothes, and flesh lie still
Breathing, breathing it's life away
A light, a change, a purpose, a meaning
Sunlight hides it's golden ray

The dam is thick and tough and strong
Forever it has done it's job
Ancient emotions, slowly leaking
Riding on a broken sob

Jewels fall useless to the floor
Confessions spilled for deaf ears alone
A heart of darkness stripped of cover
Now lies bare, cut to the bone

The skies are black, the air is death
Friends shake hands with daggers gleaming
An end, a finish, for me, for all
White teeth flash, evil's beaming
