In the dark
In the light of day
We squint life away.
We use our hands to block the glare.
When Life seems hard we shut them completely.
We don’t want to see the light not even when we die,
But what happens when it’s dark?
We open our eyes wide.
Scared of something we’ll miss,
Something that might hurt
In the light we want to miss them,
But in dark we pray we don’t.
We only want to see what we feel we can’t.
And want to hide from the things we can.
But you can’t live your life in the dark
