The Gridiron
As I sit here, I think back to the games we have had the past couple of years, the blowouts, the close ones, the losses, and yet all I can do is stare at the goal post as it whips around in the brisk air, the goal post has been our best friend, when winning the game, and our worst enemy when losing the game. I think back to all our greatful victories, and the rivalrys made on the field, I think about all the losses and the tears shed on this field, I think about the seniors and how next year it'll be our time to be seniors and shine, I look at the stands and imagine people fighting over a seat just to see the Wibaux Longhorns clash helmets some another team working towards the same goal we have. Then I think of how quite it is, and no ones in sight, and how this field may be one of the greatest places to be, but we are only there in fall, the other parts of the seasons, some kids may come down here to throw football or to jog the track, but then in the fall time, everyone comes here, the young, the old, the whole town of Wibaux, they come to watch us get the W.
