Am I blind or did the stars go black ever since you left?
 It’s like a dark shadow swallowed me whole.
 I’ve fallen between the cracks and I am lost.
 Will you ever return or will the stars remain burned out forever?
 Can they be easily replaced like a broken lightbulb?
 The pieces of our friendship were swept away by the wings of butterflies.
 Our secrets spilled from our mouths as if we were bees buzzing.
 A blanket of moths covers my eyes.
 I can no longer see the glimmering show that the sky holds.
 I catch fireflies and keep them in a jar because they’re my only light ever since you left.
