A Poem About Leaves
Winter is frigid
Summer is hot
Fall is the season leaves get caught
Caught by rakes
Caught by trees
Leaves are lucky if they do not get caught by you and me
They fly with the wind
They fly with the breeze
Leaves fly quickly from you and me
They get crushed by our feet
They get crushed by machines
Leaves get crushed by you and me
When spring finally comes
The leaves are happy as can be
They are finally free from you and me
