To the Kids
To the kids who want more than a life that we see
I beg of you to listen, I promise you will be.
To the kids who keep yearning for a show like no other
like the one on TV, you know Drake and his brother.
To the kids who have nothing, but a dream and a pen
Well keep on writing, write til the end.
To the kids who put on a smile even in their darkest days
you are our inspiration, I thank God you were made.
To the kids who keep waitin’ underneath mistletoes
Welcome, December, with tireless hope.
To the kids who can’t focus and wish for release
I can hear your voice, just move your feet.
To the kids who have their whole lives planned out
Congrats, hooray, that’s what life’s all about?
To the kids who see now and never look back
You will succeed, I’m sure of that fact.
To the kids that are learning that life will go on
I hope that you realize, you are so strong.
To the kids that accepted that life isn’t fair
do you see now that you’re more than your hair?
Because life isn’t easy, and we’re here a long time
So take what you have, and leave the rest behind.
