Hands
The flashbacks are so vivid
you got me alone
and you stripped me down.
You had me get in the bathtub
a place where you get clean
yet I felt so dirty.
While telling me all the amazing things
we could do with our hands,
you took your hands
and groped my body
and molested my soul.
A year later you used your hands
again.
This time to kill yourself.
Sometimes I am glad you did
But your voice still echoes
in the back of my head saying
“Your hands look just like mine.”
I forgive you for what you did
but never for what you said.
