Night
I walk on corpses buried under the snow,
Will I ever escape this eternal nightmare, I may never know.
The smell of burning flesh suffocates my mind,
We work intensively to pass the time.
I try to stay strong as I trudge through the ice.
I’m using all my strength to hang on to my life.
I’m falling into a dark chamber of despair,
The stench of death lingers in the air.
As the days pass, more people die.
My hope is slowly fading away,
And I don’t know why.
I was taken from my home sweet home,
Now I’m lost and all alone.
I try to fight for survival,
The things they’ve done are painfully vile.
I haven’t smiled in many months.
I haven’t laughed not even once.
My body is just an empty shell,
And my life has become a living hell.
Sometimes I wonder is this a dream?
My family gone, I want to scream.
My heart aches with hope, as I search for the light
Through this deep, dark, eternal night.
