Bittersweet
Crash, boom, bang
This is all I heard while my mom spoke.
How on earth could this happen?
“Kassidy did you hear me? Krishona has been hit by car.” She says snapping me back to reality.
May 1, 2006
My sweet daddy’s birthday.
Another year, another birthday.
Why must this one be filled with tragedy?
My daddy has done nothing wrong.
Why must I feel so much animosity?
To grieve or to celebrate?
My best friend has passed.
I remember waking up the next morning and seeing her beautiful smiling face on the news.
No it wasn’t just a bad dream.
Walking down the school hallways filled with nothing but tears and sorrow.
School will never be the same again.
Not without Krishona’s laughter, bright smile, and colorful beads that bounced in her hair.
Krishona Wofford gone but forever in our hearts.
