nothing happening here, mid-day
birds songs,
disjointed melodies
and tweets,
soar and meet
in the air.
and the warm wind,
like sweet breath
in my hair.
it is all,
it is all
that's there.
it's enough now,
but tonight,
when darkness arrives,
my simple hymns
will breed deep despair.
then without reason
i’ll rise,
like a fallen leaf,
and spiral deep
into space.
she'll will nurture all my bare
desires and needs,
since nothing
contains much,
since nothing
is enough.
nothing is all that i need
and it contains
everything.
just let me exist,
i say, to no one,
and no one relents
and i sit in the sun
with someone,
while birds tweet
and the wind breathes.
