Star in Distress
Not a day goes by
Where I can feel it in my heart
How much pain I've dealt
I wish I could go back and fix my errors
But what's the use?
Everything is all bound to happen
Falling in love with the most beautiful star in the universe
The confidence that attracted me
Has revealed an inner layer, unexposed.
And in order to be truly happy
I feel I must expose this to the world.
Maybe then will that star begin to see how bright she can shine
There are many stars in the sky but this one in particular has caught my eye.
A star in distress, such things unheard off
Too long has it stayed in the shadow, diminishing and hidden.
Now is the time to bring out the true beauty I've fallen for
and to forever dispose of this layer that masks it.
