The Serenity Sea
Not a sight in any direction.
It took years
to travel a few hours.
This unspoken isolation brings
at great peace to man.
Delusion has kept man from this peace
ever since Mesopotamia. A delusion
started by a man born in a manger
and continued by man.
That Man had the aptitude
to sell faux ideas of
a Perfect balance
of Good and no Evil.
It wasn’t his fault though.
Most humans cant resist
the paranormal
despite its foul breath.
It’s ugly face still appears
in my mind, so I fight
it back with the sword
reason carries.
My peace is now brought about
by a baby blue boat
and the open sea,
away from the convenient Sundays.
I am, now, not a man born
of the faith. But a man
shattered through faith
and forged at a finality
of peace of mind.
