Reality

Time is just a structure of breaking down infinity
Dreams are just the minds escape from reality
The goals you set are simply for prosperity
But goals set to high will make it there rarely

No expectations means no disappointment
No fresh scars to cover with ointment
When we are born we are filled with hopes and dreams that are unrealistic and unbelievable
Then we crash when our big dream doesn’t quite provide to be livable

We spend years riding a high in the shelter of our parents
That tell us we can do anything become anything
How many children grow up to become the president an astronaut or singer
The reality is not everyone can be winners

Were told to shoot for the moon and if we miss we will land among the stars
Yet when we miss that star we land in a place way out in afar
Disappointment and anger become our living leases
Reality comes crashing back so fast and hard you shatter into a million pieces

Then your stuck in a place that’s not quite enjoyable
Lost in a sea where your pride is thin and breakable
One fall has made you deem yourself incapable
Now simple tasks are no longer achievable

So if we set our sights a bit lower
We can take our time and climb a bit slower
Count each rung as a new accomplishment
Provide an aura of hope and confidence

Then when you finally touch the threshold of serenity
You allow your mind to reach full clarity
