Heaven's place in a godless world; color of light and thought of night.
I do not think heaven
can be found in blazing light
Light that blazes and blinds
with ignorant passion.
Nor, I think, can heaven be found
in places so dark all life would be sly;
For lonely things lay in lost hearts
who have no knowledge of color
Rather, all there should be
is a night with stars so bright
they light the heavens -
Wouldn't that be transcendent?
