And I will overcome,
The pain that overwhelms me,
The loss that tries to break me,
The suffering around me.
And I will overcome,
The thought of her,
The aching to be with her,
My love for her.
And I will overcome,
The guilt of living,
The torture of being,
The hurt of seeing.
And I will overcome,
The fear of everyday,
The grief of each day,
The face of today.
And I will be,
What is left of me.
