They tell me
I've got my head in the clouds
Dreaming, Dabbling, Dwelling
On everything
Although nothing at all
Or so they tell me

But when did creativity become a sin?
When did cooking up your future
Get in the way of
“better things”?

I’ll tell ya,
The air up here is clearer
Easier to breathe too
The higher I climb the more ideas cling to my mind
Absorbed like a sponge, they crawl through the dark crevices
Like miners in caves
Lighting and enlightening

But after all of this
Creativity is still told
To float
No, sink
Back down
To reality

In class we had to write about a cliche. A lot of times I'm in my own little world and so I decided to write about that and let people know that it's not always a bad thing.
