Starlight and Sunrise
The morning sunrise was not my friend,
Only the dim light of the moon.
It sparkled on the lake that I spent
So many nights admiring.
The sun burned my skin,
And then it made me darker.
I don’t like being darker.
The moon doesn’t do this to me,
No,
It just illuminates my pale features and highlights my
Jet black hair.
The sun is far from my love,
While the moon cuddles it closely.
