The Skyline Is On Fire
The skyline is on fire
And the horizon is a beltway
You pulled the trigger
And the bullet pierced the sky
As I watched the gun fall from your hand
Your eyes analyzed my body
And I hate you
I hate you
I hate you
Because as the bullet fell and slid
Into my skin
You stood and watched
Watched me fall down further and further
You watched my eyes roll back
And my heart stop
You just froze and stared
At the burning skyline
And I hate you
For standing
And watching
And not doing one single thing
About my broken body
