Where I am From
I am from the cold piercing Pacific Ocean wind, where the waves pound the sharp rocks.
I am from the cool crisp air of the coast range covered by heavy forests that lay like a thick blanket over the vast hills.
I am from the cozy, warm confinements of a big house tucked away in the luscious, rainy forests where deer stand around every tree.
I’m from a family of four brothers where sports rule.
From good humor and bright, energetic mornings.
I’m from waking up to the pleasant smell of warm pancakes and strawberries.
From playing with my sibling in the dandelions in the warm summer, sun.
I am from lacrosse in the back yard and cold icy winters where I was sheltered in the doors of Waldorf where I learned, beside eleven people for eight long years.
These are all things that emulate where I am from and these are all things that shape who I am.
